The Color grade of a diamond is determined by the absence of a color, which allows way for the fire of the diamond to shine through.

The diamond Color grade range is from D-Z, representing a spectrum from colorless diamonds to ones with tints of yellow, grey or brown.

Fancy Colored Diamonds in blue, green, yellow, pink and red are extremely rare and valuable and do not follow the normal color/pricing grades. Majority of jewelry uses colorless or near colorless diamonds.

When looking at a diamond, the human eye notices the diamond’s cut first and its color second.

Color Guide:

Color grades G-H offer excellent value as they are Near-Colorless. Color is only slightly noticeable by a trained eye, when compared to diamonds of higher grades.

The naked, untrained eye will start to see slight yellow or brown at the I Color grade.
